Everyone was born to create, to live life with passion and zest.  As children we created, painted, colored and played just for the fun of it, with no concern for the outcome or the final product.  As we enter into the “real” world as adults, we no longer make time to paint, to create, to play, so we forget how. We yearn to reconnect with the joys of life’s process, and with our own intuitive powers--to rekindle the creative connection with ourselves and with the spirit around us. 

 

In this workshop you remember what you have forgotten. In a respectful and non-judgmental  setting, you will use vibrant colors, brushes and paper as you learn to use painting as a way to connect with your spirit and creativity. Through the practice of focusing on the process of creating and not on the finished product, you learn how to quiet your mind, to trust your intuition to guide you, and you find your own inner vision and personal imagery.  

 

For people who haven’t picked up a paint brush since childhood, for those with trained in the arts, for anyone who wants to rekindle and explore their creativity. Come and play and release your creative spirit. 

 

 

Jessica Richter, has taught and led workshops and classes for adults and children for 25 years. She decided not to major in art in college, and has been reclaiming her creativity through painting and creative stuff for the past 20 years  Jessica holds a EdM in Teaching and Curriculum and a MA in Expressive Arts Therapy. She trained extensively with Aviva Gold, author of Painting from the Source: Awakening the Artist's Soul in Everyone. Jessica lives in Los Gatos, CA, teaches art in her home studio and area schools, and is an active member of the LGUSD Art Docents.
